Der Olymp
In der Griechische Mythologie ist der Olymp der Wohnort der Götter und seinen Gipfel stellte man sich lichterfüllt vor. Er bildete gleichsam das Himmel der griechischen Mythologie ab und war bewohnt von Göttern, Abkömmlingen der Götter und Dienern. Im engeren Sinne galten zwölf Götter als Olympische Götter.
